Exterior
Wipe gently with a soft cloth. If the camera is very dirty, soak the cloth in mild soapy water and wring well. Wipe the camera with the damp cloth and then dry it with a dry cloth. If you used the camera at the beach, clean it with a cloth that has been soaked in clean water and is well wrung.
Lens
Blow dust off the lens with a commercially available hand blower. Apply a small amount of lens cleaning solution to some lens cleaning paper and gently wipe the lens.
LCD monitor
Wipe gently with a soft cloth.
Picture card, battery and charger
Wipe gently with a dry cloth.
Caution
Do not use strong solvents such as benzene or alcohol, or chemically treated cloths.
Cleaning should be done only after the battery has been removed or the AC adapter has been disconnected.
Mold may form on the lens surface if the lens is left dirty or wet.
